Instead, huge pools of these antibodies are produced as long as the SBO's are ingested on a regular basis, and they are kept in reserve by the body for use whenever needed by the immune system. If an actual infection takes hold, or a specific pathogen invades the body, the immune system then instantly --- at a moment's notice "imprints" this large reservoir of otherwise innocuous antibodies with the precise information needed to attack the specific infection or pathogenic agent at hand.
